Welcome to My Favorite Poem, a vibrant poetry club where words come alive, and meaning is shared. More than just a reading group, our club is a space where poetry lovers of all kinds— casual readers, or curious newcomers—gather to explore the power of language through the poems.

What We Do

This club meets on the second Wednesday of every month; We will explore one of the members’ favorite poems or collections as a group. It could be a timeless classic, a contemporary piece, or a jaunty limmerick. We read the poem aloud, then open the floor for discussion—unpacking themes, exploring interpretations, and speak to why we share a connection with the verse. It’s not about academic analysis; it’s about feeling the words and finding what resonates.

Why It Matters

Poetry has a way of expressing the inexpressible. By sharing our favorite poems, we also share parts of ourselves—our histories, values, struggles, and hopes.
